The Parent Teacher Fellowship is referred to as PTF at Scofield Christian School. The PTF consists of parents and teachers at Scofield Christian School (SCS) and exists to promote the philosophy and goals of SCS by providing a means of communication among parents, teachers, and administrators.
The PTF is a service organization. It does not purpose to provide for any kind of control, administration, evaluation, recommendation, or supervision. It is ONLY to be an avenue of fellowship and service to SCS. The PTF is under the supervision of the administration of SCS and the Scofield Christian School Board. The Head of School will appoint one faculty representative to serve with her as ex-officio members of the PTF. The Faculty Representative is the liaison between PTF and teachers.
The PTF supports the school in many ways such as fundraising, providing volunteers for teachers, community outreach activities such as the Food Drive and Star Tree, coordinating the book fair and organizing the Moms in Touch prayer ministry.
Parent involvement is a primary ingredient in making our school strong and vibrant. Traditionally, every Scofield family is asked to work with our annual fundraising project, and every elementary grade is given a PTF project to sponsor during the year.
In order to keep Scofield at its very best, every parent is also encouraged to volunteer as much as possible during the year in other exciting areas.
Listed below are some of the many areas in which volunteer help is needed.
LIBRARY: Help process new books, inventory or help with the book fair.
MUSIC: Help with costumes, staging or technical support during musicals, be choir mom/dad or accompany ensembles.
MEAL MINISTRY: Provide a meal for a school family or staff member who experiences a crisis during the school year.
HOSPITALITY: Help bake or serve during a teacher recognition event.
LUNCHROOM: Help coordinate student lunch orders and serve hot lunches.
